HSA Group and SAP celebrate the graduation of the inaugural class of YPP in Yemen

25 November 2021 - HSA Group and SAP have announced the graduation of 21 young Yemenis who have successfully completed the SAP Young Professionals Program (YPP).

In line with its long-standing commitment to supporting the communities, HSA partnered with global tech leader SAP to host the YPP in Yemen for the first time ever. The YPP initiative aims to upskill young Yemeni talent and help unlock the nation’s digital potential. This initiative is a core component of a wider strategic partnership with SAP that is enabling HSA to future-proof the business and invest in the development of its people and technology across its operations and communities.

The YPP is a pioneering initiative by the SAP Training and Development Institute that provides unemployed or underemployed recent university graduates with three months of digital skills training to become certified SAP Associate Consultants.

The programme was open to all recent Yemeni university graduates, with over 500 applications received. 21 successful applicants took part in a comprehensive training programme that was designed to develop personal and business skills, as well as providing technical knowledge of cutting-edge SAP technologies.

Selected YPP graduates have been invited to join HSA. They will gain hands-on experience of working in Yemen’s largest and leading private company and have the chance to make a difference to the lives of millions that HSA serves in Yemen and beyond.
